Open Access Environmental Engineering Articles

Science and engineering integration is termed environmental engineering. Science & engineering principles help to improve the natural environment that gives human beings a healthy life by providing pure water, air and land and keeping the area free from pollution. Environmental engineering encompasses waste water management, control of air pollution , waste disposal, public health issues etc. Open access to the scientific literature means removing barriers to accessing scholarly work (including price barriers). There are two parallel roads towards open access: Open Access articles and self-archiving. Open Access articles are available immediately, freely on their website, a model mostly financed by fees paid by the author. The alternative for a researcher is self-archiving (i.e. publishing in a traditional newspaper where only subscribers have immediate access, but making the article available on their personal and/or institutional websites, which is a practice that many scholarly newspapers allow.
