Radar-and-signal-processing--research-articles-
The signal processor is that part of the system which, based on Doppler content and amplitude characteristics, separates targets from the clutter. Usually the transfer of radar signals to digital type is achieved in current radar sets after IF amplification and phase sensitive detection. They are called video signals at this stage, and have a typical bandwidth between 250 KHz and 5 MHz. Therefore the Sampling Hypothesis implies sampling frequencies of about 500 KHz and 10 MHz. Such rates fit well within modern analog to digital converters (ADCs) capabilities. The components for plot extraction and plot analysis are the final stage in the primary radar sensor series. The key process is that of generating and processing plots as distinct from waveform processing.
