Trauma Scientific Journals

Trauma is mental damage that occurs as a consequence of a distressing event. Trauma often results from an overwhelming amount of stress that exceeds one's ability to cope with it or integrates the emotions involved with it. Trauma can result from a single distressing experience or recurring events of being overwhelmed which can be precipitated in weeks, years, or even decades as the person struggles to cope with the immediate circumstances, eventually resulting in serious, long-term negative consequences. Since trauma varies between individuals , people may respond differently to similar traumatic events due to their subjective experiences. In other words, not everyone who experiences a potentially traumatic event will actually get traumatized psychologically. Trauma Scientific Journal is a peer reviewed scholarly journal that brings together a wide variety of topics of interest for all those involved in trauma patient management. Authoritative assessments are given for all facets of medical care: prevention by prehospital supervision, accident and emergency treatment, surgery, anaesthetics and intensive care, physical and psychological recovery.
