Sleep Apnea Impact Factor

"Asthma can be minor or may interfere with day-to-day activities. It can in some cases lead to a life-threatening attack.  Asthma can cause breathing problems, chest pain, coughing and wheezing. Often, the symptoms can flare up.  In general, asthma can be managed with rescue inhalers to treat symptoms (salbutamol) and controller inhalers to prevent symptoms (steroids). This brain damage was accompanied by a cognition, mood and daytime alertness impairment. Although only limited improvements to damaged brain structures occurred during three months of CPAP therapy, 12 months of CPAP therapy led to an almost complete reversal of white matter abnormalities. For adults, body weight and obesity are the most common cause of obstructive sleep apnea associated with mouth and throat soft tissue. When the muscles of the throat and tongue are more relaxed during sleep, this soft tissue can cause blockage to the airways."
