The use of Isoprenoids and terpenes are important in the existence and evolution of higher plants in various eco systems. These compounds find uses in flavor and fragrance, pharmaceutical and bio fuel industries. The growth of plants in wide range of environmental conditions is brought about by development of alternate metabolic pathways for the photosynthesis of variety of bio molecules and the development of structural feature for the production of such compounds to prevent auto toxicity and be able to survive in different environmental conditions. Research studies compile the various properties and application of isoprenoids and terpene compounds. Most of these compounds aare high value bio products but necessary component of living organisms.
