Medical Imaging New Findings

The Journal of Medical Imaging facilitates peer-reviewed publication and archiving of field-based clinical and translational work that continues to benefit from developments in technology and clinical advancement in early detection, diagnosis, and surgical procedures, and understanding of normal conditions. Medical imaging is commonly defined as referring to the array of techniques that produce non-invasive images of the inner aspect of the body. Medical imaging is the process and technique used to create visual representations of the interior of a body for clinical research and medical intervention, and for visual representation of the function of certain organs or tissues. Medical imaging helps to show the internal structures that the skin and bones hide, and to diagnose and treat diseases. Medical imaging also includes a foundation of natural anatomy and physiology in order to diagnose anomalies. While imagery of extracted organs and tissues may be performed for medical purposes, such procedures are generally seen as part of pathology rather than medical imaging.
