Immunity

Immunity is the ability of the body to fight against the disease and the infections caused by various factors. In biology terms, immunity is known as the balanced state in the organism. Immunity system is comprised of both innate and adaptive components. It also contains specific and non-specific components. Innate immunity is a natural immunity present in the body. It divides into two types known as specific innate immunity and non-specific innate immunity. Specific innate immunity is the resistance against a particular microorganism. Nonspecific innate immunity is the immunity caused by the body in general. Adaptive immunity is described as the naturally the immunity is present. The immunity also gained by the breast milk to the babies from the mothers. Passive immunity is gained through the antibodies.
