Cancer Imaging

Imaging is the process whereby valuable images of body structures and organs are produced. It is used to detect or detect tumors and other abnormalities, to determine the extent of the disease and to assess treatment effectiveness. Imaging may also be used when performing biopsies and other operating procedures. Various types of imaging tests which may be used are listed below.   Cancer imaging is a paragliding term which covers the many approaches to cancer research and diagnosis. Originally used to diagnose and stage the disease, cancer imaging is now now used to assist with surgery and radiotherapy, to search for early reactions to cancer treatments and to recognise patients who do not respond to treatment
