 Architectural engineering, also known as construction engineering or architecture engineering, is an engineering discipline that deals with the technological aspects and multidisciplinary approach to the planning , design , construction and operation of buildings, such as the analysis and integrated design of environmental systems (energy conservation). The rapid technical advances led to the rise of architectural engineering as a fairly new licensed profession in the 20th century. Architectural engineers are at the forefront of two major historical opportunities in which the world today is immersed in rapidly advancing computer technology and the parallel revolution resulting from the need to build a sustainable planet. From greenhouse gas emissions mitigation to constructing robust structures, architectural engineers are at the forefront of solving many big challenges
