Acute And Refractory Asthma Impact Factor
Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways characterized by episodes of reversible breathing problems due to airway narrowing and obstruction. It is long-term condition caused by
environmental or genetic factors. The common triggers of
asthma include pollen, tobacco, smoke, dust mite, cold air etc., symptoms of
asthma are shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness, and coughing. Chronic
asthma may lead to permanent narrowing of airways. The other associated conditions of
asthma are gastro-esophageal reflux disease, rhino sinusitis, and obstructive sleep apnea. There is no cure but it can be managed with medication along with change of life style by avoiding exposure to triggering agents. Treatment of acute symptoms is generally with an inhaled short-acting beta-2 agonist and oral corticosteroids. The
impact factor of journal provides quantitative assessment tool for grading, evaluating, sorting and comparing
journals of similar kind. It reflects the average number of citations to recent
articles published in science and
social science journals in a particular year or period, and is frequently used as a proxy for the relative importance of a journal within its field.
