Space Flight

Basics of Space Flight may be a tutorial designed primarily as a fast training guide for mission operations people. But teachers, college and high-school students—anyone interested in the concept of interplanetary spaceflight—may find it useful. This online textbook offers a broad scope, but limited depth, as a robust framework to accommodate further training or investigation. Many other resources are available for delving into each of the topics related here; indeed, anybody of them can involve a lifelong career of specialization. Links to external sites provide further depth to several topics. There are conjunct quizzes to let you check your own growth. No records are kept, nor does NASA offer academic credit for this training. Interplanetary exploration begins...Spaceflight is used in space exploration, and also in commercial activities like space tourism and satellite telecommunications. Further, non-commercial uses of spaceflight include space observatories, reconnaissance satellites and other Earth observation satellites. Spaceflight are often achieved with differing types of launch systems, conventionally by rocket firing , which provide the initial thrust to overcome the force of gravity and propel a spacecraft from the surface of the Earth. Once in space, the motion of a spacecraft – both when unpropelled and when under propulsion – is roofed by the world of study called astrodynamics.
