A common method for determining the composition of body fat is to take skinfold measurements. Calipers are used in a range of sites around the body to measure the thickness of the peel. It's necessary to have accurate measuring technique. This is the standard technique which is being used. The aim is to estimate the level of body fat by measuring skinfold thickness. Prepare forms and record basic details including age, height , body weight, gender, conditions of testing.Perform safety risk screening and get informed consent.  Calibration of the calipers should be needed for proper jaw tension and gap width. Measurement of skinfolds can use 3 to 9 different standard anatomical sites around the body. Usually only measured on the right side (for consistency). The tester pinches the skin at the appropriate location to elevate a double layer of skin and the underlying adipose tissue but not the muscle.
