Power Electronics is a field which consolidates Power (electric force), Electronics and Control frameworks. Force building manages the static and pivoting power hardware for the age, transmission and dissemination of electric force. Hardware manages the investigation of strong state semiconductor power gadgets and circuits for Power change to meet the ideal control goals (to control the yield voltage and yield power). Force gadgets might be characterized as the subject of utilizations of strong state power semiconductor gadgets (Thyristors) for the control and transformation of electric force. The principal Power Electronic Device created was the Mercury Arc Rectifier during the year 1900. At that point the other Power gadgets like metal tank rectifier, network controlled vacuum tube rectifier, ignitron, phanotron, thyratron and attractive enhancer, were created and utilized continuously for power control applications until 1950. The first SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) or Thyristor was imagined and created by Bell Lab's in 1956 which was the first PNPN activating transistor. The second electronic unrest started in the year 1958 with the improvement of the business grade Thyristor by the General Electric Company (GE). Accordingly the new period of intensity hardware was conceived. After that a wide range of kinds of intensity semiconductor gadgets and force change methods have been introduced. The power hardware insurgency is enabling us to change over, shape and control a lot of intensity.
