Peer-review Materials Science Journals

Materials science is an interdisciplinary field. It is involving the properties of matter and its applications to varied areas of science and engineering. It includes elements of applied physics and chemistry, also as chemical, mechanical, civil and EE. The rich kind of materials properties cannot be understood within the context of any single classical discipline but it grew out of an amalgam of physics, metallurgy, and chemistry. With a basic understanding of the origins of properties, materials are often selected or designed for a huge sort of applications, starting from structural steels to computer microchips. Materials science is therefore important to engineering activities like electronics, aerospace, telecommunications, information science, atomic power , and energy conversion. Materials science may be a syncretic discipline hybridizing metallurgy, ceramics, physics and chemistry. It is the first example of a replacement academic discipline emerging by fusion rather than fission.
