Mass Communication

Mass communication is one of the studies through which the individuals and entities simultaneously relay information to large segments of the population through mass media. Some examples are such as magazine, book publishing, newspaper , radio, television and movies; these are the media used to disseminate information. There are various types of communications such as interpersonal communication or organizational communication and they are different from mass communication. They focus solely on the transmission of information to a large group of receivers by single source. The key concern of mass communication is how the content of mass communication influences the actions, attitude, opinion or emotion of the individual or persons receiving the information.
