Hemoglobin New Findings Journals

In laboratory and clinical studies of hemoglobin, much of our understanding of human physiology and many aspects of pathology has its background. Knowledge of the genetics, functions and diseases of hemoglobin proteins has been refined at the molecular level through analyzes of their crystallographic structures and the cloning and sequencing of their genes and surroundings over the last century. Current work is also likely to have important clinical consequences as well as lessons for other areas of molecular medicine, the roots of which can be largely traced to this history of study.
