gerontology sub-field that attempts to answer the question of why and how we age, and how the
aging process might be slowed down. Careers in biogerontology are essentially careers based on research. Professionals in this field will often conduct vast amounts of research on the
aging process and all the accompanying ailments and some biogerontologists will select a specialty that can include with the things like Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, cancer,
cardiovascular disease, hair loss, osteoporosis, and wrinkles. Biogerontology has now developed a solid scientific basis for understanding the ageing phenomenon. A spectrum of new and innovative strategies and approaches is increasingly being applied to modulate the
aging process at the level of organs and organisms in the cell tissues. Biogerontology represents this step in research aimed primarily at achieving a healthy old age accompanied by longevity improvements.
