Biodefence Impact Factor
Biodefense refers to steps to restore biosecurity to a group of
species that are, or may be, vulnerable to biological or infectious diseases.Biodefense applies to two distinct target populations: non-combatant civilians and military combatants (field troops). Water security and food sources are also a vital aspect of biodefense. The global demand for
biodefense has been valued at US$ 9.8 billion.Experts correlated the large marketplace with an increase in government attention and support due to rising threats to bioterrorism worldwide. The growing involvement of the Government is expected to extend the industry into the near future.
