Anatomy is the science dealing with the structure of animals and plants.the structure of an animal or plant, or of any of its parts.dissection of all or part of an animal or plant in order to study its structure.a plant or animal that has been or will be dissected, or a model of such a dissected organism.a skeleton.Informal. the human body. Human anatomy is that the scientific study of the body’s structures. Some of these structures are very small and may only be observed and analyzed with the help of a microscope. Later, physicians were allowed to dissect bodies of the dead to reinforce their knowledge. When a body is dissected, its structures are cut apart so as to watch their physical attributes and their relationships to at least one another. Anatomy and physiology are intimately related. A hand is during a position to grab things (function) because the length, shape, and mobility of the fingers (form) determine what things a hand can grab (function). A muscle contracts and brings bones together (function) because of the arrangement of muscles and bones, and thus the arrangement of organelles inside muscle cells (form) determines what proportion and for a way long a muscle can contract (function).Body structure functions depend upon their form. The way structures work depend on the way they are organized. So understanding Physiology requires an understanding of Anatomy.
