Ventricular Hypertrophy Top Open Access Journals
Ventricular hypertrophy result from a variety of conditions, both adaptive and maladaptive. It occurs in what is observed as an adaptive, physiologic process in pregnancy in reaction to increased blood volume; but also can occur as an effect of ventricular remodeling resulting a heart attack. Prominently, pathologic and physiologic remodeling involve different cellular pathways in the heart and end in different gross cardiac phenotypes. The most common cause of Left Ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) is
hypertension (high blood pressure).Other causes include valve disease, athletic hypertrophy (a state related to exercise), hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy (HOCM), and congenital heart disease. Ventricular hypertrophy Top
