Sedimentary Rocks Online Publishing Journals

Sedimentary rock is a type of rock that results from the accumulation or deposition of small particles and subsequent cementation of minerals or organic particles on the seabed or other bodies of water on the surface of the earth. Sedimentation is a collective term for the process by which these particles settle. Sedimentary rocks are only a thin layer above the earth's crust, which consists mostly of igneous and metamorphic rocks. Sedimentary rocks are deposited in layers as layers and form structures called litter. Sedimentary rock investigations and rock layers provide information about underground surfaces that are useful for construction, for example in the construction of roads, houses, tunnels, canals or other structures. Sedimentary rocks are also an important source of natural resources such as coal, fossil fuels, drinking water or ore. The three main types of sedimentary rocks are clastic, chemical and organic sedimentary rocks. They are named according to their composition and origin.
