Peer-review Journals In Lipid Metabolism

Lipids and carbohydrates are energy molecules and one of the key components of the metabolic system. Such molecules circulate in the bloodstream and between the metabolic tissues and transfer energy across the body. They are depleted and release their energy in the form of Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) for use in anabolic reactions. Anabolic reactions are energy-consuming reactions for molecular synthesis or energy storage. These include glycogenolysis, glycolysis, tricarboxylic acid (TCA, citric acid or Krebs) cycle, electron transfer chain, and beta oxidation and protein breakdown of fatty acids. Carbohydrates are the main energetic molecules used in active tissues such as muscles. Excessive intake of carbohydrates is converted to lipid molecules that are processed in the adipose tissue for the duration of deprivation.
