neuronal marker journals: A Neuronal lineage marker is an endogenous tag that is expressed alongside neurogenesis in different cells and differentiated cells like neurons. It enables the detection and identification of cells using various techniques. A neuronal lineage marker may be expressed in a cell of interest as either DNA, mRNA, or RNA. It may also be a protein tag, as a partial protein, a protein or an epitope that distinguishes between different types of cells or different common cell states. In normal conditions and/or during injury, an ideal marker is specific to a given type of cell. Cell markers are very valuable tools for examining cell function both under normal conditions and during disease. The detection of numerous cell-specific proteins contributed to the development of cell-specific antibodies which were used to recognize cells. The techniques used to detect it may be immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, methods using transcriptional modulators and site-specific recombinases to label specific neuronal populations, in situ hybridization or in situ fluorescence hybridization (FISH). A neuronal lineage marker may be a neuronal antigen recognized by an autoantibody, such as Hu, which is highly restricted. Anti-Hu stains neuronal nuclei by immunohistochemistry. In order to identify mRNA in brain tissue, a fragment of DNA or RNA can be used as a neuronal lineage marker, a hybridization probe that identifies nucleotide sequences that complement the sequence. This technique is called hybridisation in situ. The research was carried out in all the various tissues, but was particularly useful in neuroscience. Using this approach, gene expression can be found in specific regions of specific cell types and analyzed how variations in this distribution arise throughout the production and associated with behavioral manipulations.
