Natural Products Research Impact Factor
The
impact factor of an academic journal is the performance indicator of the journal which indicates the yearly average number of citations of
articles in a particular journal receives. It is an important indicator used for comparison of
journals with a specific field.
Journals with higher
impact factor are considered to be superior to those that have lower impact factor. Impact factor is the average number of citations received in a year by an article published in the journal to the preceding two years. Natural product research is a branch of
chemistry which involves quantitative and qualitative analysis using methods like
spectroscopy and chromatography. Such research of plants to extract photochemical components of complex nature with the sole purpose of bringing therapeutic effects is the objective of natural product research.
