tuberculosis in the cattle. This bacterium is related to moreover Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Mycobacterium
tuberculosis is the bacterium that is responsible for
tuberculosis in humans. Mycobacterium bovis can be transmitted from one
species to another species. It can also affect humans from cattle. The shape of this bacteria is straight or curved rods. Sometimes it also found to be in filament structure. These bacteria do not have flagella. the length of the bacteria is from 1.0-4.0 µm long. The width is measured as 0.2 - 0.3 µm wide when present in tissues. As this bacterium can transfer from one to another
species precaution must be followed with the infected animals.
