Milking Machine Scholarly Open Access Journals
Modern milking machines can
milk the cows quickly and efficiently without injuring the udder if properly installed, maintained in excellent working conditions and used correctly. The milking machine fulfils two main functions: opening the duct strip by means of a partial vacuum, through which
milk can flow from the pacifier through the pipe to the container. It massages the pacifier, which prevents excess blood and lymph in the pacifier. The concept of milking machines should be slowly introduced by people who are familiar with livestock and who feel comfortable under the supervision of an expert. The training of dairy farmers must be carried out by someone from a milking company. This person has good knowledge of the biology of milking, mechanical milking as well as in the design, operation and maintenance of milking equipment. Training must include introduction procedures, routine milking, machine operation, cleaning and maintenance, and several aspects of daily machine maintenance. Installation of milking machines and other changes in dairy farming must be done in a timely manner before the transition to mechanical milking. It is best to start with bulls, because it is easier to inhabit female cows from older cows to the milking machine. Calm animals must be chosen that are comfortable to milk.
