Immunology Research Articles

Immunology is the study of the immune system, protecting us against infection. When fighting infections and mounting an immune response, the immune system may be active, resulting in fever, inflammation and eventual removal of the offending pathogen. It also results in the immune system retaining that pathogen's very good memory which allows the immune system to mount a swift and even more effective response to that pathogen should it decide to infect again. The immune system may work poorly (immunodeficiency) which makes us less capable of fighting off infections. Immunodeficiency may occur because an immune system component is missing or other factors stop it from functioning properly, such as cancer, drugs, and HIV infection. The immune system may be inadequately active (hypersensitive) against normal body (autoimmunity) or harmless (allergy) substances. Autoimmunity includes diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosis, coeliac disease and others. Allergy includes conditions like asthma, hayfever, anaphylaxis etc. Research articles in immunology contains articles which would assist everyone who is looking for an idea on the research scope of the field.
