Heart Risks Innovations

The heart is a major cardiovascular animals, which pumps blood through the blood vessels which are veins and arteries of the circulatory system in the body. The pumped blood consists of oxygen and essential nutrients and carries it to the different parts of our body, while carrying metabolic waste such as carbon dioxide to the lungs so that it can be excreted out of our system. In human beings, the size of the heart is approximately the size of a closed fist and it is located between the lungs in our body, in the middle compartment of the chest. In human beings, mammals, and birds, the heart is divided into four chambers. They are the: Upper left and right Atria and Lower left and right Ventricles. Usually, the right atrium and ventricle are together are know as the right heart and their left counterparts are called as the left heart. However, Fishes have two chambers only. That is an atrium and a ventricle, while reptiles have three chambers in their heart. In a normal healthy heart blood flows one way due to the presence of heart valves which prevents the back flow of the blood.
