 A head injury is an injury which is related to trauma to the scalp and skull, or brain. This injury mainly leads to minor bump on the skull which causes a serious brain injury. Traumatic brain injury (TBI) accounts for mainly 1 in 6 injury each year Two ways of Head injury can be classifies as closed or open (penetrating). ·         A closed head injury means where you may receive a hard blow to the end of the head from striking an object, but the object cannot break the skull. ·         An open, or so called penetrating, head injury means you might hit with an object that can break  the skull and entered directly to the brain. This can happen when object move at high speed, for example going through the windshield during a car accident. There are many Head injuries which include: ·         The brain is shaken, which comes under common type of traumatic brain injury. ·         Scalp wounds. ·         Skull fractures. ·         Head injuries may cause bleeding: ·         In the brain tissue ·         The layers that can surround the brain   The Head injury is a related to the common reason for an emergency room visit at any situations. Basically large numbers of people who suffer with head injuries are basically children.
