Fish Diseases & Diagnosis
Fishes also suffer from disease and parasites like any other animals. They show both specific and non-specific defence. These diseases can be due to bacterial
fungal and mould infections. And also due to Undesirable
environmental conditions such as water quality, overcrowding,
stress by incompatible
species etc. Diagnosis of fish diseases depends on Physical/Behavioral signs or symptoms of fish. These provide high quality, meticulously reviewed and rapid publication, to cater the insistent need of scientific community.
The capture, transportation and culture of bait fish can spread damaging organisms between ecosystems, endangering them. In several American states, including Michigan, enacted regulations designed to slow the spread of fish diseases, including viral pasteurellosis , by bait fish.thanks to the danger of transmitting Myxobolus cerebralis (whirling disease), trout and salmon should not be used as bait. Anglers may increase the likelihood of contamination by emptying bait buckets into
fishing venues and collecting or using bait improperly. The transportation of fish from one location to a special can break the
law and cause the introduction of fish and parasites alien to the ecosystem.
