A financing strategy is an integral part of the strategic plan of an organisation. It sets out how the organisation, now and in the future, plans to finance its overall operations to meet its objectives. A funding strategy summarizes goals and actions to be taken over a period of three to five years to achieve the goals. Finance Strategy is an approach based on a clearly defined vision , strategy, and roadmap for the planned development of the Finance function. It helps build on insights from the business context, expectations from stakeholders and own performance & capabilities to focus on value-creating opportunities. The organisation's inancial strategy focuses primarily on procurement and the use of funds. The basic purpose is to ensure adequate and regular supply of funds that satisfy the business enterprise's present and future requirements. The Financial Strategy addresses areas such as financial resources, cost structure analysis, profit potential estimation, accounting functions, and so on. In short, the Financial Strategy is about the availability of sources, uses, and fund management. It focuses on aligning financial management with an organisation's corporate and business goals to gain strategic advantage.
