Benign Tumor
Benign
tumor is not a cancer-bearing malignant tumor. It does not invade surrounding tissue, or spread like
cancer to other parts of the body. For most cases the situation is really strong for benign tumors. Yet, if they push on essential structures such as blood vessels or nerves, benign
tumors may be dangerous. Most bone
tumors are benign, meaning they aren't cancerous, and won't kill you. These
tumors do not metastasise, i.e. they do not spread to other body regions. But they may still weaken the overall bone structure, and may cause broken bones or other issues. It is still unclear the exact cause of a benign tumour. It develops when
cells divide and grow at an excessive rate within the body. The body is normally able to regulate the growth and the division of cells. They are immediately replaced with new, healthy
cells when old or damaged
cells die. Dead
cells remain in the case of tumorand form a tumor-known growth.
