The ankle-brachial index test compares the vital sign measured at your ankle with the vital sign measured at your arm. A low ankle-brachial index can indicate narrowing or blockage of the arteries in your legs. You may have ankle-brachial index testing before and immediately after walking on a treadmill. The Ankle Brachial Index compares the systolic blood pressures of the arms and legs to offer a ratio which will suggest severity of peripheral vascular disease. Electronic problems with
