Air Borne Diseases.
Airborne diseases are diseases which are spread by tiny airborne pathogens. Human airborne diseases do not contain air pollution-provoking conditions. The transmitted pathogens may be any form of microbe, and can be dispersed in aerosols, dust, or liquids. The aerosols may be created from sources of
infection such as an infected animal or person's body secretions, or biological
waste such as accumulating in lofts, caves, garbage and the like. Such infected aerosols may remain suspended at long enough air currents to travel for considerable distances. The effectiveness of airborne disease transmission is affected by
environmental factors; temperature and relative humidity are the most obvious
environmental conditions. Airborne infections typically occur through the respiratory route, with the aerosol agent present. This is caused by inhaling these pathogens which affect the respiratory system of a person, or even the rest of the body.
