This article explores the anatomy of tendons, delves into the various causes of tendinitis, and discusses its common types, such as tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, Achilles tendinitis, and rotator cuff tendinitis. Recognizing the symptoms, including pain, swelling, and reduced range of motion, is crucial for early diagnosis and effective management. Diagnosis involves a comprehensive evaluation, often utilizing medical history, physical examination, and imaging tests. Treatment options range from rest and ice to medications and physical therapy, with more severe cases requiring corticosteroid injections. Supportive devices, such as braces, may be employed to immobilize affected joints, aiding in the healing process.
