Top Journals In General Practice
These prestigious
journals have been publishing clinical research and practice
articles for decades—even centuries—and some now have “spin-off”
journals on specific topics relating to medical specialties.
At least not in the group of young physicians he queried about their reading habits. And their lack of interest it didn’t seem to depend on whether the medical
journals were in print form or digital.
Despite the anecdotal evidence about readership, hundreds of medical
journals continue to pump out original research, reviews and opinions, receive citations and get indexed in wide variety of medical databases. Their papers are presented at conferences, discussed by panels and even covered in the news. Many doctors swear by them, and will do their best to keep up with how the latest research can be applied in their medical specialty.
So which journals should physicians be reading? The following lists highlight some of best medical
journals across specialties, based on impact factor, citations and other measurements of influence.
