Screw Fixation In Spine Top Journals

Screw fixation  is undertaken in combination with spinal fusion procedures to hold the affected field vertebrae in a fixed position. These devices provide the spine with stability and support after surgery, and keep bone grafts in position while healing the spine. Although pedicle screws on the spinal segment have anchor points, metal rods are used to attach them. In spinal surgery, the use of screwing fixation  systems for spinal stabilisation has become increasingly common. Various pedicle screw systems were described and new systems are being developed daily. However, the screw placement technique and principle as well as anatomical screw placement landmarks are common across all systems.
