Peer review is a process in which scientific experts evaluate a text and provide feedback and recommendations, whether the work is suitable for publication. In this article, we discuss the principles behind peer review and the various forms that can be taken. We discuss the importance of peer review, its shortcomings and the reasons why someone wants to be a peer reviewer. Publication is an important part of the scientific process. This allows the spread of new ideas or validation / refutation of existing concepts. Peer review is a process in which scientific experts evaluate a text and provide feedback on the work and make recommendations whether the work is suitable for publication before publication. Open Peer Reviewer - Reviewers know the identity of the author and the author knows the identity of the reviewer. The disadvantage of this method is that reviewers can be biased if they know the identity of the author. Joint peer review - During the peer review process, peer reviewers can review each other's comments, interact and produce a final peer review report.
