Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Journals

The single-celled eukaryote that is frequently used in scientific research is recognized as Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is also known as baker’s yeast because of its attractive model, genome sequencing and its genetics. This type of organism is used in the laboratories because of its easy multiplication and production. The studies are performed in yeast to determine the particular gene and protein functions in higher eukaryotes including humans. Compared to other organisms the sequence and protein functions in yeast are similar. In modern scientific research many methods of yeast cells work have been developed by including their DNA repair mechanisms, protein purification studies and other cellular processes and developments connected to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.
