Reproduction, the mechanism by which the species reproduce. Reproduction is, in a general sense, one of the most important concepts in biology which means creating a copy, a resemblance, and thus providing for the continued existence of organisms. To appreciate this fact, account must be taken of the origin of life and the evolution of organisms. One of the first features of life that arose in primeval times may have been the ability of certain simple chemical processes to create copies of themselves Consequently, reproduction is chemical replication at its lowest stage. When evolution advanced, cells must have evolved with successively higher levels of complexity, and it was completely necessary that they would have the ability to create comparisons to themselves.
