Pharmacodynamics Scholarly Journals
Pharmacodynamics is the study of the relationship between drug concentration at the site of action and the effect of
biochemistry and physiology. The most common mechanism is the drug's interaction with tissue receptors either located in the cell membranes or the intracellular fluid. The extents of receptor activation, and the subsequent biological response, are related to the activating drug concentration. Pharmacodynamics is the study of the biological, physiological and molecular effects of
drugs on the body and includes the binding of receptors, post receptor effects and chemical interactions. The effects can include those that are expressed inside animals like humans, microorganisms, or organism combinations. Pharmacodynamics puts special importance on the relationships between dose-response, that is, the relationship between dosage and impact of drugs.
