Peptide Profiles Journals

Studies of serum peptide profiling are widely used in study of biomarker discovery. In clinical proteomics based on MS, peptide- or protein levels are mapped in a single range in the serum of healthy and ill individuals, with the goal of identifying differences. Signing candidates of biomarkers found through proteomics studies holds great promise for personalized medicine. For processing and statistical analysis of peptide- and protein profiles, multiple data handling strategies have been reported, either model-based or applying different feature selection strategies. Initially the collection of apps was based on basic binning procedures or local maxima finding. The accuracy of peptide analysis based on Mass Spectrometry (MS) in complex biological mixtures allows use of high-resolution instrumentation easier.
