METLIN has since adult and as of July 1, 2019, METLIN contains over 450,000 metabolites and alternative chemical entities, every compound having experimental cycle mass spectroscopy information generated from molecular standards at multiple collision energies and in positive and negative ionization modes. METLIN is that the largest repository of cycle mass spectroscopy information of its kind. 2005 was additionally the year within which the dedicated tutorial journal Metabolomics 1st appeared, supported by its current editor-in-chief faculty member Roy Goodacre.
