Hazard Identification

 Hazard identification is part of the procedure used to evaluate if any particular situation, item, thing, etc. may have the latent to cause harm. The term frequently used to describe the full process is risk valuation: Identify hazards and risk factors that have the potential to cause harm. One of the important elements of the health and safety management system is hazard identification. It is the foundation for developing safe work measures, establishing prevention programs and making other precautions to abolish or control the hazards.  A hazard is any source of potential damage, damage or adverse health effects on something or someone. Risk is the casual that a hazard will cause damage.  Hazard identification procedure involves identifying both existing and potential workplace hazards, assessing the risks, defining and executing the controls, and revising hazards.
