A genome is a known as a complete set of genetic instructions of an organism. Each genome consists of all of the information that is needed to build an organism and allow it to grow and develop.Your genome is composed of over 3 billion letters of code and is present inside every single cell in the body that contains the nucleus . It acts as a biological blueprint to help make one person and also shows who they are. Whole genome sequencing has allowed researchers to read every single letter of that code to generate a 200GB information file with the potential to personalise modern or advanced medicine. With the advances in technology and the  knowledge, it is becoming clearer that it  benefits all of us  from getting our genomes sequenced. Whole genome sequencing (WGS) is the term referred to describe the process of reading every letter of DNA that is present in each of the human cells that contains nucleus . With the dramatic drop or reduction in sequencing costs since 2008 and with indications that it will continue to fall, it has become affordable and much quicker to carry out the sequencing. Sequencing the whole genome allows researchers to study about not only the genes which code for the important proteins which keeps human bodies running, but also the regions of our DNA that have other important roles in the body , such as the regulation of the genes.
