Evolutionary biology is a sub-discipline of biological sciences that deals with the origin of life and the diversification and adaptation of life forms from time to time. Evolutionary biology is the field of biology that studies the process of evolution (natural selection, common ancestry, speciation) that results in the diversity of life on Earth. In the 1930s, the discipline of evolutionary biology emerged through what Julian Huxley called a synthesis of modern understanding, from previously unrelated fields of biological research, such as genetics and ecology, systematics, and paleontology. It’s a discipline who is concerned with the processes and patterns of biological evolution especially in relation to the diversity of organisms and how they change over time.
