Adverse Drug Reactions Impact Factor

Drug-related side effects, or adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are dangerous events caused by treatment. ADR can have a profound effect on a patient's quality of life, as well as creating an increased burden on the health care system. It is one of the causes of increasing morbidity and mortality internationally, and will continue to be a significant public health problem with increasing complexity in treatment, to treat various diseases in an aging society. Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are common occurrences in hospital settings, associated with the severity and complexity of the disease process, use of several drugs, drug interactions and possible negligence. ADR can be observed in 10-20% of patients who are hospitalized and may be responsible for long hospital stays.  In addition, a large number of new drugs are now available, where reporting of ADR is unexpected and rarely occurs especially in the alertness of practicing physicians
