Uveitis Treatment Innovations
Uveitis is treated using medicines which dampen the immune system's activity. The first line of therapy are steroids.
Steroid eye drops in the front part of the eye may treat uveitis.
Steroid eye drops alone are insufficient for intermediate or posterior uveitis, which affects the glazed gel or
retina and choroid.
Steroids are used to soothe
inflammation for only one to three months, and the dose is reduced.
Steroids are not continuously used for a long time as they may affect both the eye itself and the rest of the body. New ideas, devices or processes are innovations. Improved solutions meet new requirements, inarticulated needs or existing market requirements are the implementation of innovation. It is efficient with efficient products , processes, services , technology, or new ideas which market, government and society are readily available.
