The complications of transplantation of all organs are either technical or associated with the immunosuppressive therapy. Specialized entanglements are moderately exceptional in renal and cardiovascular transplantation, yet at the same time are an element of liver and especially pancreatic transplantation. The major complications related to immunosuppression, either directly or indirectly, are infection, ischemic heart disease and cancer. Viral infections, particularly cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection, remain the foremost prominent of the post-transplant infections, but more exotic infections are seen from time to time, e.g. Aspergillus, Pneumocystis carinii, tuberculosis, and clinicians must be aware of this possibility in these immunosuppressed patients. Most kinds of malignancy show a humble increment in recurrence in patients after transplantation yet there's a checked increment inside the recurrence of lymphomas, cervical disease, epithelial cell malignant growths and Kaposi sarcomas, all tumors with a putative viral etiology. Ischemic heart disease is the major cause of death in patients with long-term functioning transplants. Hyperlipidemia and hypertension, two major risk factors related to ischemic heart condition, are common in transplant patients and are probably associated with the immunosuppressant therapy.
