Translational Bioinformatics Impact Factor

Translational bioinformatics is a health informatics branch which, coupled with bioinformatics, places emphasis on many branches of medical science. It includes the bioinformatics of molecules. Genetic statistics, data mining. In many fields of biological science the scope and applications of translational bioinformatics have dramatically improved. Journal impact factor provides a quantitative evaluation tool for the grading, evaluation, sorting, and comparison of similar journals. It represents the average number of citations to recent papers published in science and social science journals in a given year or time, and is often used as a proxy for a journal's relative importance within its field. A journal's impact factor is calculated by dividing the amount of current year citations into the source items published in that journal during the previous two years
